The purpose of this research is to find out the changes in TBMs in the context of implementing social inclusion in North Sumatra. Using a qualitative approach, case studies were conducted on several TBMs in North Sumatra that successfully implemented changes towards social inclusion. Information was collected through observation, in-depth interviews and document studies. The results showed that TBMs have transformed from just a provider of reading materials into inclusive literacy for all levels of society, regardless of social, economic, cultural backgrounds, or special abilities. This change can be seen in the programs implemented such as mobile libraries, literacy courses for people with disabilities, and reading and learning activities together for marginalized communities. Factors that support the success of change are management commitment, active community participation and partnerships with various parties. This study concludes that TBMs play an important role in promoting social inclusion by providing equal access to literacy to all levels of society.
Nazla Dara Dinantika

https://pcijournal.org/index.php/ijcss/article/view/916

A recent surge of intangible investment to navigatethe productive capability of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) resurrected a range of doubt about the trajectory of choices and the actual managerial space that actualizes these choices. Though spending on intangibles and more particularly on R&D contribute substantially to growth parameters but the ambiguous magnitude of spending patterns and treatment of such expenditure from regular business operation to an investment element, in particular, to enhance the valued capability, yet unresolved in the corporate world. Recent studies on the usefulness of intangibleoutlay and capitalization of the same in improving future returns evidenced a gloomy pattern of crisis in the measurement and allocation of intangibles. As evidenced, most of the spending on intangibles by the business units in India is targeted to secure “patent for profit” rather than to achieve “valued capability” to expand real opportunities to choose between alternatives. Based on the last ten years' dataset of Maharatna Enterprises this study critically examines the contribution of decisive one from the container of four inputs namely spending on software, other R&D expenditure, materials, and employee costs on a set of productive activities covering the revenue and net- value- added, as these are more regular in enhancing both profit and production capability with the help of input-oriented VRS weighted measure-specific DEA model. Results show that the multidimensional performances between the enterprises are not uniform throughout the study period and that the efficiency is highly correlated with the size of a few companies like ONGC, BHEL, and GALE and higher spending DMUs on intangibles do not necessarily have higher-ranked performance in terms of returns and net value added. This study provides valuable insights for managers aiming to maximize the benefit of variety in Software and other R&D spending patterns considering the sizes of the companies while minimizing the risk associated with excessive diversity beyond the moderate threshold in intangible investments.
Mrinal ChoudhuryChinmoy Roy

https://pcijournal.org/index.php/ijcss/article/view/917

Regional disparities are common in almost all nations globally inattentive of whether being under-developed, developing, or developed. With the new conversion of target towards human development, the existence of inequalities on rural development is one of the primary issues faced by developing countries. It attempted to examine the spatial inequalities in the rural amenities in Kollegal taluk, Chamarajanagar district. The level of development is estimated separately for education, health, economic, and communication sectors and the taluk is classified into three categories according to the values of the Aggregate weightage scores. An attempt has been made to analyze the level of regional development among different villages in Kollegal. According to the regional disparity, the development index shows that some regions are far more systematically developed in the center of the taluk headquarters. The result shows that vast disparities in the level of regional overall development lie among various villages of Kollegal. The extent of the infrastructure services sector's development has been shown statistically and favorably related to overall socio-economic development, suggesting that the two sectors' development and expansion have been advancing concurrently throughout the country. The result shows that merely a few villages have the highest scores in overall development.
Bhuvanesh MArun Das SRavikumar MSawant Sushant Anil
