Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Mathematics and Scientific Computing With Applications, as a respected national academic journal, is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal therefore requires all authors to exercise due diligence in ensuring that submitted manuscripts comply with internationally recognized ethical standards, particularly with regard to plagiarism and proper scholarly attribution.

Journal of Mathematics and Scientific Computing With Applications recognizes that plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. Accordingly, the journal has established this policy to define the principles, procedures, and possible editorial actions applied when plagiarism is identified in a manuscript submitted for publication. To support this process, the journal uses Turnitin originality checking software to detect textual similarities in submitted manuscripts. As a general policy, a maximum similarity index of 20% is permitted, provided that the detected similarity does not indicate academic misconduct or inappropriate citation practice.

Plagiarism occurs when an author presents ideas, information, data, words, or other intellectual contributions derived from another source without appropriate acknowledgment. Whether committed intentionally or unintentionally, plagiarism constitutes a serious violation of academic ethics and is not tolerated in scholarly publishing. The journal regards originality, transparency, and proper citation practice as essential foundations of scientific communication.

Authors are required to provide a citation whenever they use specific information obtained from another source, including names, dates, locations, numerical data, statistical results, definitions, statements, or other verifiable details. Citation may be omitted only in cases of broadly recognized general knowledge, namely information that is widely available in multiple reliable sources and commonly understood within the relevant academic community.

Authors must also provide proper citation whenever they adopt, paraphrase, summarize, or develop an idea originating from another scholar. This includes, but is not limited to, interpretations of data, theoretical arguments, methodological approaches, conceptual frameworks, and conclusions derived from previous studies. Even when an author substantially expands or reinterprets the original idea, the original source must still be acknowledged. In such cases, authors should clearly distinguish between the cited idea and their own subsequent contribution or development.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to editorial screening for originality before entering the peer-review process. If significant plagiarism, duplicate publication, unattributed paraphrasing, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified at any stage of submission, review, or publication, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript, request revision, or take other appropriate editorial measures in accordance with the severity of the case.

The journal encourages all authors to ensure that their work is original, properly referenced, and prepared in accordance with good academic writing practice before submission. Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their manuscripts, including the accuracy of citations, acknowledgment of prior work, and compliance with ethical publishing standards.

Commitment to Publication Ethics. Through the implementation of this plagiarism policy, Journal of Mathematics and Scientific Computing With Applications seeks to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record, protect the rights of original authors, and foster a culture of ethical, responsible, and high-quality academic publishing.
