Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

International Journal of Cultural and Social Science applies a double-blind peer review process before any article is published. Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communication with authors, may also assist authors in improving their manuscripts. Only qualified referees will be invited to review a submission. Any manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document and will not be shown to or discussed with others except when authorized by the Editor-in-Chief.

Reviews are conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments so that authors may use them to improve their manuscripts. Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and to notify the editors of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other work, whether published or unpublished.

The suggested decision from reviewers will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will communicate the final decision to the corresponding author. Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make the final publication decision. The review process generally takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks.

Decision Categories

Reject
Rejected manuscripts will not be published, and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to International Journal of Cultural and Social Science.

Resubmit for Review
The submission requires substantial revision and reworking. If the necessary improvements are made, the manuscript may be reconsidered. However, it will require a second round of peer review.

Accept with Revisions
Manuscripts receiving this decision may be published in International Journal of Cultural and Social Science provided that minor or major revisions are completed. The revised manuscript will be reviewed by the editor to ensure that all required changes have been properly addressed before publication.
