Author Guidelines
To maintain the standard of academic writing in articles published by IJCSS: International Journal of Cultural and Social Science, authors are encouraged to read and follow these author guidelines carefully. The manuscript template may be downloaded from the right panel of this site.
General Guidelines
Submissions should report research conducted using rigorous qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or an appropriate combination of both. The methodology must be described in sufficient detail as part of the article. Submissions based on survey research should include a copy of the data collection instrument as an appendix. Manuscripts employing a case study approach should explain how the case findings may be generalized or transferred to other relevant contexts.
Research articles should include an unstructured abstract of approximately 200–250 words, containing a concise description of the Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Recommended Structure of Research Articles
- Introduction: Provides the background to the study and explains why the work was undertaken.
- Literature Review: Presents relevant literature, summarizes previous studies, identifies research gaps, and explains the contribution of the present study.
- Aims: States the purpose of the study and, where relevant, outlines the research questions.
- Methods: Explains how the study was conducted, including data collection and analysis procedures, in sufficient detail to allow replication.
- Results: Presents the principal findings of the study in a clear and concise manner.
- Discussion: Interprets the findings in relation to the broader literature, discusses implications, and acknowledges limitations of the study.
- Conclusion: Summarizes the study and its main findings without introducing new information.
Research articles may be up to 5000 words in length, excluding references, tables, figures, and appendices. A maximum of six tables and/or figures is recommended. However, manuscripts presenting extensive and rigorous qualitative analysis may still be considered even if they exceed the word limit. Authors wishing to submit a manuscript longer than 5000 words are advised to consult the Associate Editors (Research Articles) in advance.
Research articles should include 5–6 keywords representing the principal concepts addressed in the manuscript.
Research articles should include at least 20 references. Authors are encouraged to ensure that references are relevant, recent, and formatted consistently in accordance with the IEEE citation style.
